  • Litmus Papers for identification of acids and bases: Blue litmus paper: The color changes from blue to red to indicate a shift from basic to acidic. Neutral litmus paper: The color changes from purple to red (acidic) or blue (basic). Red litmus paper: The color changes red to blue to indicate a shift from acidic to basic.
